| | Coal Chamber - "Sway" | ] | Zac is SO hot! And he's one of the most awesome people I've ever met. Plus, he's one of my bestest friends in the world. What's greater than having a hot awesome ass best friend? Nothing. Hee hee. Happy now, Zac?
So.. I get onto the bus today after school and these freshmen tell me they like my Slipknot shirt. I say thanks. Then, later on in the bus ride, one of them starts playing some Slpiknot on their laptop. It's Subliminal Verses (they're newest album). Conversation went as follows: Me: "That's Subliminal Verses." Her: "Yeah." Me: "Do you have any songs from self-titled?" Her: "I don't think so." Me: "Have you even heard self-titled?" Her: "Yeah. The cd's at my house." Me: "What's your favorite song on self-titled?" Her: "I don't remember, I haven't listened to the cd in a long time." Me: "What about Iowa? What's your favorite song from it?" Her: "What's Iowa?" Sometimes I just want to smack those little poser freshmen in the face. They just follow the "in" trend, which is currently the "punk scene", or so it seems with the majority of my school's freshmen population. I know it's ignorant to rant and rave about freshmen seeing as I was one last year, but last year, I wasn't fake. I know my Slipknot, I know about everything I'm into. I didn't sit there and tell other fellow classmates that Slipknot was the coolest band in the world. I didn't watch other people and think because of they're downright coolness, I should be like one of them. I don't care how kickass you are, I'm not going to be your bitch and live by everything you say or do. You are you and I am me, end of story. |
